One of the well-known industries in Qingdao is Tsingtao beer which is found all over the world. Tsingtao Beer is more than 100 years old. The Tsingtao Beer factory was built by a German businessman and his British partner in 1903, and Tsingtao Beer is the oldest beer brand in China. Tsingtao Beer is made with Laoshan Mountain Mineral Water that is very famous and very clear, tastes very smooth, and contains many kinds of mineral elements that are fundamental for humans. Now the Tsingtao Beer company is the biggest beer company in China with many subsidiaries around China, and has 5 breweries in Qingdao. Because of Tsingtao Beer, the Qingdao International Beer Festival is also famous in China. Every August after 1991, the Qingdao International Beer Festival attracts many kinds and brands of beer from all over the world. Every visitor to Qingdao should book a hotel in advance, for there are not any available rooms in Qingdao during that period.
