It has recently been announced that a new restaurant may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer


Recently, I read a news from the local newspaper Metro that there will be a new restaurant built in my community. Some people dissent the construction plan, because of the pollution they worry about; Other people advocate the building of restaurant, because of the convenience for life and the more work opportunity. The issue have been debated since the plan was announced. In my opinion, although there are some minor dsiadvantages as people concerning, the advantages of the new restaurant plan will bring several benifits to our neighborhood in the convenient life and the increasing work positions.

The minor disadvantages exist in the construction plan, which many people concern about the noise pollution and the waste pollution. For instance, restaurant usually open till 12am and even more late at weekend. The nosiy sound will bring some troubles to senior people who are more easily distrubed by the noise. My gradparents often complain of me who usually watch TV midnight. In addition, the pollution may affect the environment of the living community. The smelly air could make people uncomfortable. However, compared to the advantages, the disadvantages can be ignored.

First of all, the new restaurant could give people of community a choice to have dinner out of their home easily. They do not need to drive and take long time for the dinner, just walk to the new restaurant in a few minutes. For example, I really like steak which my parents always do not cook well. Now, so easily and conveniently could they give me a wonderful steak meal without sweat that I strongly support the new restaurant plan. Also, the restaurant should be a great place to hold a family dinner in which many delicious dishes are sereved.

Secondly, in a depressive economic situation, a new restaurant will creat many work positions to our community. As a common sense, the increasing work opportunities will stimulate the development of economy. For example, people could be hired as a cleaner or chef in the new restaurant that would diminish the amount of unemployment. Another good effect the restaurant brings is that it could produce increasing tax which is nessesary to go out off the depression for government.

In conclusion, although the new constuction idea has some minor disadvantages, the advantages could not be deniable and doubtable. It supplies some profits and benefits to our community in life enjoyment and economic simulation. In my opinion, these two reasons are more important to consider, and the new restaurant constuction is nessesary and great plan.
