Paraphrasing
Jacques Cousteau told that the cold on our planet came from the Antarctic, like our heat came from the sun, and it controlled our climate tremendously. The mixing of the cold ocean water around Antarctica with warmer water from the tropics cools both the surface water and the atmosphere. Now, however, human activity is becoming threat to the fragility of this regulation system (Captain Cousteau, Audubon(may 1990):17)
