It is worth to say that some of the recognized athletes and top positioned person celebrate there. The report also has a glance to the too high amount of the promises that groom promised to the bride.

This promise is a tradition of Iranians that the groom promises some valuable things (mainly gold coins) to bride before they married, and after deal accepted they will marry. Bride may ask for it after marriage whenever she wants, and by law groom has to pay it. The report also added the approximate total price of all invited people’s cars in one of the ceremonies in the Farmanieh club, it said approximatly 17 million Dollars.

It appeared funny mean while sad. While the crack between the poor and the rich is so high, is sad. As a brief conclusion, I could say, the money is not all, but it could bring comfortable live. Money cannot provide love. Money even makes your choice harder, because you cannot understand that he/she come for you or your money. On the other hand, you may not let yourself to fall in love with someone who had nothing, or you do not want. Also, the person who is not rich cannot fall in love of a rich person or he does not have dare to do that, because many persons will infer she/he is there because of money.

Burnout

Hey there, studious people,

Do you know what burnout is? If you have been studying for a long, long time without a break, and you feel unmotivated and "blah", then you are probably suffering from burnout. You are burnt out. This often happens in the middle of a final semester of study.

There are ways to combat burnout. One way is to take a complete break: unfortunately none of us can take this option at this stage of the semester! Another way to fight the midterm bleargh is to find creative ways to study. Reading a good book is often just as good a way to study as looking over grammar points; in fact, it is probably better for your overall writing style, and it is much more fun. Homework has to be done, but maybe you can do your homework with friends. Find a quiet corner of the Project Factory or library at school, and declare a homework session or study club.

I feel it too. I don't WANT to do any work. Especially now that cold weather is here, I just want to curl up with a good book and not leave the house again until April. Or May, if the snow is still around. But I believe that we can get through this, and that you all will go on to better things.

Do you have any formula for being alive again??

I don't know what is happening on me, but I cannot focus on anything! I know, I have to study, at least 1-2 hours everyday for the TEST, but I cannot:( This test makes me stress (perhaps this is the reason) but I don't want to create fake reasons:) Nowadays, I feel laziness.  I don't want to do anything, no cooking, no school, and so on....  Just relaxing and not thinking anything:)

I noticed that some of classmates have already taken the assessment test. I start realizing that this level 5 will be the last class for me to learn English as a second language. Nobody cares about who have taken ESL class or not in the program.
Once I start thinking about it, I cannot stop doing that.
This is one of my bad habit.
I try to stay optimistic and positive attitude everyday, but sometimes I am not.
I believe that it is not only me, and it is happen to most of them.
I hope everything will be alright for all of us.

Utopia

Last week, at the end of their global annual conference, doctors were given themselves a mission
to conduct a scientific research in order to find what happens just after a person passes away. Doctors setted a deadline of three years during which they will try to get a possible answer. We know that the job of doctors consists of treating sick people by using medications, surgery, and many other methods. Therefore, physicians and surgeons cure bodies. However, a human being is not only composed by a body, but also by a soul. By definition, soul is the spiritual part of a human being in relation to God. It has been seen that doctors practice their medecine in a physical or material scoop. In fact, doctors utilize various measurement instruments, but what they measure is always physical data, such as blood pressure, type of blood, and so on. They have basically no instrument to measure soul. Death is still one of the great mysteries of God. All these mysteries belong to spiritual matters, to God intelligence. The land located beyond death is unexplored by our limited human brain. For this reason, I think that within three years doctors will probably find nothing interesting about life beyond death.

Assessment exam. 15 and 25 of November

Hello every one, today I had Nait assessment exam. It was good, I don’t know what will happen, but I hopefully I can pass, hopefully.
I think that it might be useful for you to know the assessment exam. Just as a suggestion, do not try to be specific in this fields; you will be assessed from all parts.

The test consisted of many part, first and at first gate of the exam was the lovely graph analyze, the graph was from statistic Canada, and was about shelter costs in Alberta. Second, was writing with a topic, there were no two topics to chose, the topic was briefly about a school which wanted to buy either book or computer. Thus, you should have written a persuasive essay and support you idea of which one is better.

The next section was reading, the reading included of 3 passage of one main topic. The topic of the reading was about how Canada provides electricity and the way of supply it. It was mainly the effect of supply electricity on the environment, fishes, fossil fuel sources, nuclear, and hydroelectricity. It had 30 questions. The tricky question here was the meaning of some few word, such as something…fetch”, and “pose” . Also “spawn”. And the last question which was ridicules, it asked if dam build why is it harmful for fish? And the answer was terrible, because at the passage it did not exactly said why.
After, it was listening turn, I guess, it was completely simple; however, they chose the answers totally tricky. By the meaning of one of the question was: When will you arrive?
And the answers which were close to select were: On September and other in three weeks.
Unfortunately,I changed my answer to on September because I inspired by heavy collective idea about the other selection, so chose that. Indeed, I selected the correct one initially, and I changeh my correct answer. The right answer is in three weeks because months do not take “ON”. The other tricky question was that” what did she make him?” and I do not know which answer was better; however I selected she made him cook. The other hard listening question was something like this: will they moved? And the answer was tricky. At least for me was tricky.

The next part of listening was totally simple, about the fast foods, and the percentages of eating out, restaurants, costs. This part was easy, do not worry.

In spite of all, speaking was the hardest part. It was hard, she ask me ability to convince!, ability to talk , pronounce, and analyze. I like the speaking exam, there is no way to pass it if you are not ready. She was completely powerful in the field, and she analyzes you as a doctor to a patient. She was nice and powerful.

The speaking was briefly consisted of introducing yourself, your field, your job, describing a simple picture. Also, you should read an article and summarised it and speak about it. It seemed harder than reading part! After you had summarized it, you should have read a paragraph of that mentioned hard article, loudly.

At the end, it assesses you about ability of talking and the policy of talking. Which was an example of an everyday situation, and how we should manage it, and talk about it. however, I hate to play a role , and bring reason or not being honest, you i had to play that. You have to play that, if you are absent , you should tell that you were sick , not you were in vacation! It was not on the exam, but the question might be like that. The question was about how you could tell lie.!

I know, the sharp tongue will execute a happy head.

What a week

At the begining of the week I thought I would not be able to see the end of it. This last week had been a tough one. I was going to bed late in the night and woke up very early in the morning of the next day. As all of you know Vivienne loved torturing her students, well she did a great job with the Mid Turn exam. Fortunatly, the headache partially has finished, but remember that on Monday we have two presentations. At least I have them on that day. Now guys, what we have to do is relax, at least for a day, because we all deserve it.

How I m doing to my mid term exam?

Guess what It is suprising me the lenght of the paper exam ; it was legal paper that why I am wondering how many of missed the last part of the graphe whish is worth 18 point of the exam but the majority of the class will pass. Unlikelyme! if I pass these mid term exam i will be survive the other fellowing exam I think so I will. What did you think about the mid term will be?

Elephant

One day, somewhere in the world, a teacher asked to his students if they had ever seen an elephant. Subsequently to students' negative answers, the teacher decided to bring them to a special circular building where they could watch an alive elephant. In that three-floor building, were many small rooms and a shelter in the courtyard. Each student occupied a private room to watch the elephant that was in the shelter. Also, everyone was assigned to draw the elephant for a further discussion in class. After they got back to school, the teacher told the students to share their sketches with peers. All the students noticed that their drawings were differents from each other. In fact, depending on his room, each student had a limitted angle of view. As a result, one student drew only the trunk of the elephant whereas another one drew the tail, and so on. Consequently, they fought each other because everyone thought that he was right and the others were wrong. At the end, the teacher showed them a nice picture of an elephant. He taught the students that in the world, each person is unique. We are all moulded depending on our culture, and education. We should tolerate the differences and practice the law of LOVE.

When we mention wolf, we associate it with brutal, fierce, outrageous and cruelhearted attribute. However, wolf also has more beautiful qualities. For example,

Wolf only has one partner with its all life, and they together live with their baby.

Wolves keep well-regulated life. Early in the evening the males go off to work and the next morning they will come to bring food for babies and the famales.

No orphan in wolf’ world, for once there are some babies lost their parents, other family would raise them automatically.

Wolf can communicate with one another over very great great long distance what you think through wolf’howl. Another wonder is some particular native people could hear and understand what the wolves said. This is true. Because the special native people could know where appeared herd of caribou through wolves communicating.

Wolf never have fun by killing animals. If they are full, they have a rest.

the novel ‘never cry wolf’ I read brought me into wolf world. This is a true event.
in 1970s, government from Ottawa figured the reason why caribou’ amount declined
was on wolf’ account; therefore, people intended to hunt largely wolves so the wolf’ amount
slump sharply. At that time, the author took a very tough work to go to arctic to investigate

wolf and environment, he spent whole summer around the wolves. He watched by 15 feet
away from a wolf’ family, and he has ever exposed himself to the wolves. The wolves ignored him and he intended to attract the wolf’ notice, but the wolves still went on with politeness.
The result of study was people hunting largely made caribou reducing. A Indian hunted 200—300 caribou every year, and the Indian captured 2 caribou in a week for his 14 dogs and himself’ diet so it could be figured out how many caribous thousands of Indian killed in a year. However, as wolves, they only attack older or weak caribou and when they met herd of caribou, they watched and waited a chance, so wolves train caribou. If no wolf exists, caribou is not what caribou is now. In China of 1960s, as there were more lots of wolves in grassland, there were so much more stronger herd of horses running on the grassland. However, now almost no wolf there so no stronger horses existed. It is very sad.

Superstition

Many people from my country are afraid of Halloween. Our chidren grow up in Canada and attend same schools with native Canadians. For this reason, they are integrated and are willing to participate to Halloween festivities. However, the majority of Conglese parents warn their progenies to stay away from any activities related to Halloween. According to many Congolese, Halloween goes with ghosts, curse, and death. In fact, in Africa, we grow up with fear of wicthcraft. We believe that evil spirits and sorcerers could negatively influence our lives, or bring people to death. These beliefs are a significant part of our Bantu culture. Personaly, I can proudly declare that I am free of these notions. My eyes are now opened, so I see the spiritual light. As a result, I will allow my children participate to all Halloween festivities with the firm conviction that nothing harmful will happen to my family. " Knowledge is power.", said F. Bacon.

The FAO (United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization) 1991 statistics show that 20 percent of the world's rice output came from 10 percent of the world's rice fields that grow hybrid rice.

Part 1---Biography

Born in 1930 and a graduate from the Southwest Agriculture Institute in 1953, Yuan began his teaching career at an agriculture school in Anjiang, Hunan Province.
He came up with an idea for hybridizing rice in the 1960s, when a series of natural disasters and inappropriate policies had plunged China into an unprecedented famine that caused many deaths.
Since then, he has devoted himself to the research and development of a better rice breed.
In 1964, he happened to find a natural hybrid rice plant that had obvious advantages over others. Greatly encouraged, he began to study the elements of this particular type.
In 1973, in cooperation with others, he was able to cultivate a type of hybrid rice species which had great advantages. It yielded 20 percent more per unit than that of common ones.
The next year their research made a breakthrough in seeding. They successfully developed a set of technologies for producing indica (long-grained non-glutinous) rice, putting China in the lead worldwide in rice production. For this achievement, he was dubbed the "Father of Hybrid Rice."
At present, as much as 50 percent of China's total rice fields grow Yuan Longping’s hybrid rice species, yield 60 percent of the rice production in China. Due to Yuan's hard work, China's total rice output rose from 5.69 billion tons in 1950 to 19.47 billion tons last year, about 300 billion kilograms more have been produced over the last twenty years. The annual yield increase is enough to feed 60 million people.
The "Super Rice" Yuan is now working on yields are 30 percent higher than those of common rice.

Halloween. Painneaplle Pie.

Last year was my first Halloween ever, this year is the second.
I found that every culture has the same thing for the fall. Iranian are not excepted, so they celebrate the longest night of the year and the last day of the fall, and called it Yalda. Yalda take a place mean while the Western settlers celebrate the Christmas' period. with a deep consideration, it could be discovered that cultures celebrate the atume depend on their environment. Also, it is worth to say, cultures has a different calender, and different beginning year, which is likely depend on the weather, and reliving the trees.
As I am writing in the class , I do not have enough time to search about it, but it is more likely to be environment wise then the other reasons.

Eastern time.

Oh I forgot, the time of the blog is set on the Eastern US & Canada's time, and the differences of that with ours is 2 hours.
I just noticed that it is Centeral Canadas time, we are in Mountain time.
If my memory still working well , i remember last night it was Eastern time.
So , it probebly has been changed, but I geuss it changed 1 zone not 2 zone.

Do students measure well by current grading?

Grades have been being used as a scale since education began. Grade, and usage of it, is varying from a country to another, a culture to another. Some country may use grade by number like 100, 20, or 4; some use letter, or word. Whether the grade is a good incentive, which may encourage them for accelerating their study or not, is a controversial issue.

Although public beliefs that the way of current grading is more likely to be a fair, is one of the best few ways of grading, the cultural parameters have been playing a significant role in the tests and exams. It means that in the countries which accept immigrations initially the native individuals are more likely to be successful on the exams than the immigrants. Whereas, the statistic showed some of the immigrants are doing better than natives, it could be by the result of hard effort of them. On the other hand, in the same situation, same timing, and placing, perhaps the natives
would be more successful in the contemporary exams.

The reasons of this result can be find in ingredients of the tests, consequently cultural parameters are involve in many of the exams. For example, in toddler ages, children may be asked to shoot a ball, if they can it would be a positive mark if not it would be a negative mark. Also, eating by hand or using spoon or fork while they are eating the food. Both of these exams included cultural component. As exists, there are some cultures that people do not use fork or spoon, and also, by the result of environment they do not play with ball during the childhood. Therefore, it appeared as unfair test.

Therefore, grading is a good instrument to assess, no doubt. The problem is that: what the components of the test are. The authorities should be accurate and smart to choose the tests. Also, psychologist had better be involved in choosing the tests, in order to prevent any further bad influence on the children.
Finally, if the questions and the components of the tests choose wisely, it could be a good way to scale and encourage children or students.

After reading the novel, "The Notebook"

I want to introduce a beautiful love story which can give a lot of emotion. The book says it is a celebration of how passion can be ageless and timeless and a tale that moves us to laughter and tears and makes us believe in true love all over again. This story is also available in the movie. I hope you read this book someday. I specially thank ESL teachers since they made me read a book.

Indeed I am writing to tell you all, just forget the assessment test , just forget to being completely careful about what you write, about what you say.
As you know all, we are second language, and you may be great on your writing , but it does not meaning that you should forget to be great on your personality.

We should all try to be good in all way. I really do not want to count this one as one of the five blog that i should write. i just wanted to tell you be free , be free.

Long time ago, when I wanted to be hired in the Gap my manager told me a really good word: "learn proper English, not just learn to pass the situation."
If we just go back, language was invented for connection , nothing more. NOT for the Nait assessment test or even money!.

In spite of what I said there is a story about a worm that it takes long time to be written here, but eventually in the story there are two way to go for a worm: Fly, or be in the grand, but fly means to cut all of dependency, so would you like to fly or be safe in the earth.
We are all human, and can choose. Do you choose to get the home, and car and any other material, then die, or you want to be free.

This picture is top aspect of my painting, which was at my home, and painted on the wall. I painted it at wall, because of my believe command me that ever thing will be destroyed one day, so I did that on the wall, which may one day distroyed. It size is about 250 CM X 150 CM, I was not able to finish it very well, however it was there for many years.

I lived on my home for 10 years, so I painted many parts of my home, and also I made it a real cozy place to live as much as it absorbed me from my university to home where it was so far from university; in same time that we had a home close to my university.

I do not have many friends, I use to live the same, but these few friends are great and awesome.

I can say I have just one good friend here who is Isabelle, and in my country were few ,may be 5 or 9 person. Ahamad, Samad, Saeed, Majid, and also Sina were my old friends.

They called me "Seyeed", and My home "Cafe". 16 months ago I moved, and left every thing there. Many surrounded people thought that I would not able to do this challenge, and will be back soon. God helped me, and showed me how to deal with this new life. Therefore, the cafe was closed after 10 years, and I am still here. Many good days that I had on my lovely, cozy, peaceful home.

After all as you saw my friends wrote , that note on the top of the painting, on the time I was not there to sign it so there are just two sign, my every day settlers, SAMAD and AHMAD.

I wrote many of my idea on that paint.

I painted it initially at wall, after I just wanted to give weight to it, so I wrote many ideas about human creation, and also destiny, at the very top i wrote"?" and behind that was "destruction" , which was inspired by Rummy's poems. It has many poems from Jalaledin e Rumi and Hafez, and also my idea.

The idea of this kind of painting originally is my idea, Which believe that every thing will go to a point, even it wants or does not want to go. Also, people behave the same way, where ever they go, what ever they do, they will receive to their origin. The problem is this , they may arrive there a bit late, all the religion, all we do is meaning of this.

Finally at very top is just a question mark,"?", which means , so WHAT?

I should add one more thing, I like these people who live here, they are honest and fare.

Part 5 --the last part

Now, Qingdao is not a colony, but preserves some different construction styles. Red tiles and green trees make Qingdao more beautiful, and they are 2 of Qingdao’s marks that include blue the sea and sky, Laoshan Mountain, Tsingtao Beer and Haier. As the host city of the Sailing Games of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Qingdao built a new port for the sailing games and forced a shipyard to move to Huangdao Distinct which is located on the west of the Jiaozhou Gulf; moreover, more and more factories have moved to Huangdao and other satellite towns, leaving the land in Qingdao for residences. There are a cross-gulf bridge and a sub- sea channel under construction between Qingdao and Huangdao.

Hi everyone

Do you like movies?  Do you usually see a movie at your spare time? 

Movie is a very important entertainment in our lives. It has elegant dialog, exquisite scene, amazing process and astounding ending. Every person who went to the cinema will enjoy lot of fun, because of the stimulation of the hearing and vision.

Today, I want to introduce a movie to you. It is Dead Poets Society. It present a special friendship between a teacher and some students.  The teacher bring the free thinking to these students, one of the boys get trouble from his independent thought. He pursue acting when he was in school which he love so much. Of couse, his father object to his require and dream. After the boy perform in the public without his father admitting, he was taken to home and was going to enroll another school. Under the circumstances, the boy was suffered the conflict from his passion of acting and his strict father. He shoot himself . Finally, the teacher was considered to take reponsibility for the suicide, but most of the students know the truth and advocate him. The teacher is touched and say" Thank you, boys! Thank you" before he walk out of the classroom.

Free thinking, the most important quality, is always neglected in real studying. I appreciate I have a chance to study in Canada, it let me touch the different education way and give me a fresh thinking way. Thank teacher, thank Vivienen, thank everyone in our class.

Besides Tsingtao Beer, there are several other well-known brands in Qingdao, and Haier is one of them. Haier is developed from a small factory that produced refrigerators, but now it is a big international company that own many factories around the world, including the US and Europe, and manufactures many kinds of home electric appliances: refrigerators, TV sets, air-conditioners, micro-ovens, washing-machines, and so on. Recently, I heard a piece of news about Haier and GE: “Haier is eyeing GE’s appliance unit”.

Halloween

Hy guys, how is everything? Halloween is coming, and many kids, who mask as demons and monsters, will go from house to house saying the old " trick or treat". Many countries celebrate Halloween in different ways. For example, in Mexico they call it "the day of the dead". That specific day people go to the graveyard, where their family has been buried, and bring them food and wine. Some people believe that in this way they can establish a bond with their dead family. Some others believe that a gate to the hell is opened somewhere and ghost and witches are free for a night. There are many rumors; however, nobody knows exactly what happen in Halloween. Something is sure, this day have become throw the history in the day of supernatural.

Now Halloween is Coming

Now Halloween is coming, let's talk about ghost. Do you believe in ghost? I do. I believe the spirit is still alive in the some "space" while the body begin to corrupt. One month ago, I read an interesting article linked with a Buddhist website. It's about the ghost world. If you belive in ghost, keep on reading my blog, otherwise, stop here. (I am serious.)

- There are shops in the ghost world but they are much smaller than most shops in our world. They can buy everything there including clothing, food and other stuff;
- Indeed, ghost need food, but it's not for eating, it's for smelling;
- Ghosts stay in their graves underground to have a rest;
- If you burn some fake cash paper and murmur the name of the dead, they can receive the cash in the ghost world which can be used in their community;
- There are different kinds of courts responsible for trial of sins which people conducted in both worlds (in our world and ghost world, so be a good man/woman, always.)
- The newly dead ghosts are heavier while the old ghosts are lighter.
- Ghosts can not be exposed to the bright place, so they can only haunt at night. If you are physically strong and full of energy, they will stay away from you. If you are weak or sick, you may encounter or even see them when you walk in the darkness. That's because they are afraid of heat and energy.

I hate cooking

when I came to Canada, I was sick of cooking and washing dishes, especially I had to do them everyday. doing housework took a long time and energy so I had to buy some machines to help me do fast and convenient, and perhaps contribute my interest, but I still disliked cooking. No way.

Giving Thanks

Giving thanks is big holliday all over the Western country although we are becoming to celebrate and learn there culture it is big step ahead for us because my children and I try to understant where we are coming first. TOEFL test make me crazy!!

How is your thanksgiving? I just took my test on Saturday, I do not think I did well in the test, so I am going to take it again. There were many vocabularies I do not know in the test, some biology and psychology word in the listening and reading. Although I have taken that test there times, I still believe that I will crack it.

Hi everyone. How's your weekend so far?
I had a great time with my friend and his family on Sunday.
I ate turcky and pumpkin pie A LOT! :)
I have no family in Edmonton, so I was so glad to stay with them.
By the way, I found out that I have to take an assessment exam, plas TOEFL to enter my program.
In addition, I have to volunteer at a Vet clinic for min 8 hrs.
I get so nervous if I could go through the task.

Life is unfair !

New comers want to be isolate beacuse lack of language and social. Even though no one is perfectly fit in new social life but it must be struggled to learn and intergrat in social life. It should be trainer new skill worker who able to work with new comers. New comers are facing delicat situation when the culture and social gives multiple challenge. One of the well-known industries in Qingdao is Tsingtao beer which is found all over the world. Tsingtao Beer is more than 100 years old. I AM BACK to normal life...kinda:) Thank you for commenting on the last blog.
I got off for a few days, and I hang out friend to chill with beautiful weather on last weekend.
I received a passage from my Grandpa, by the way.
He worries so much about me, and he decided to send me Japanese food once a month, so I can cook REAL Japanese food.
He also gave me a picture of my mom and me when I was baby. It probably have taken at Toronto National Park. I cannot remember at all when I was in Canada though(I was in Toronto till 2 years old!)
Anyway, He is the wonderful person EVER!
When I was young, to be honest I didn't really like him.
He was too strict, so I didn't want to visit his home.
He was like " You cannot watch TV during meal!"
" Saho, you hold your chopstick wrong way. If you cannot use properly, you cannot be an elegance lady."
" Say HI(yes), not UNN(ya, or yap)"
Apparently, I got so annoying:))
Besides, my Grandpa who was an international sports writer was hard worker like typical Japanese traditional men.
He thought men should not go to kitchen.

Compare to the past grandpa, he has been changed a lot.
Now, he accepts my dream which is not traditional way.
He tries to understand me a lot.
He is like friend of mine.
Certainly, It takes time to realized that he is really important for me.
But....now I know!

Hopefully, he will stay healthy with my Grandma.

Qingdao

Part Two

Qingdao is a seashore city with 3 sides surrounded by the sea. The east and south sides face the Yellow Sea, and the west side is near the Jiaozhou Gulf. Because it is near the sea and surrounded by water, it is very warm and humid. Usually the highest temperature is about 30℃ and the lowest temperature is about 0℃. However, it can reach 35℃ sometimes in summer. In my memory, it was once 37. 1℃ in July, 1999 the year in which I graduated from university, and it broke the record that had lasted several decades; therefore, I remember it very clearly. Furthermore, it can drop to -10℃ sometimes in winter when the Siberian Cold Current reaches Qingdao, but it lasts only several days in a winter. In all, Qingdao is a perfect place for people to live, so many retired people choose Qingdao as their last place to live. Moreover, Qingdao attracts more than 15 million tourists who come from all over China, and even the world, every year.

now and them there aren't big difference. It seems every where you look change quickly by second.This morning i have seen more three accident in my way to drop my children to school.Sometime I have been hesitation to driver my car because this time year the fatality increasing ernormously.

Hello everybody,

Does any body realize how fast time pass in this country? I put myself as an example, mid turn exams are approaching , and I feel like I have been in ESl lv 5 for just a week. Furthermore, it has been a year since I arrive to Canada. Certainly, a lot of things happend during this year, yet I felt I arrived yesterday. Soon I will be doing the assesment text, and then I will get into my program. It is so hard to notice time here that i am affraid the next time I think about it I will be a grandfather. What do you think guys?

You Are A Big Mommy Student!

When giving him a shover, my son and I were talking about the 'things' which I have to do. I have lots of things to do of course, and the most important thing is taking care of my son. 

Anyways, I mentioned that he suppose to play with his toys while I am busy with 'my own things'. Then, he asked me what I do (as perhaps hundreds of time) I said that I am a student. Thereupon, he clarified by telling me that I am a big mommy student!!

It has recently been announced that a new restaurant may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer


Recently, I read a news from the local newspaper Metro that there will be a new restaurant built in my community. Some people dissent the construction plan, because of the pollution they worry about; Other people advocate the building of restaurant, because of the convenience for life and the more work opportunity. The issue have been debated since the plan was announced. In my opinion, although there are some minor dsiadvantages as people concerning, the advantages of the new restaurant plan will bring several benifits to our neighborhood in the convenient life and the increasing work positions.

The minor disadvantages exist in the construction plan, which many people concern about the noise pollution and the waste pollution. For instance, restaurant usually open till 12am and even more late at weekend. The nosiy sound will bring some troubles to senior people who are more easily distrubed by the noise. My gradparents often complain of me who usually watch TV midnight. In addition, the pollution may affect the environment of the living community. The smelly air could make people uncomfortable. However, compared to the advantages, the disadvantages can be ignored.

First of all, the new restaurant could give people of community a choice to have dinner out of their home easily. They do not need to drive and take long time for the dinner, just walk to the new restaurant in a few minutes. For example, I really like steak which my parents always do not cook well. Now, so easily and conveniently could they give me a wonderful steak meal without sweat that I strongly support the new restaurant plan. Also, the restaurant should be a great place to hold a family dinner in which many delicious dishes are sereved.

Secondly, in a depressive economic situation, a new restaurant will creat many work positions to our community. As a common sense, the increasing work opportunities will stimulate the development of economy. For example, people could be hired as a cleaner or chef in the new restaurant that would diminish the amount of unemployment. Another good effect the restaurant brings is that it could produce increasing tax which is nessesary to go out off the depression for government.

In conclusion, although the new constuction idea has some minor disadvantages, the advantages could not be deniable and doubtable. It supplies some profits and benefits to our community in life enjoyment and economic simulation. In my opinion, these two reasons are more important to consider, and the new restaurant constuction is nessesary and great plan.

Need to relax?

Sometimes, I feel exhausted without no reasons. I mean there are reasons, actually.
Just I don't want to admit it.
The condition is probably called " STRESS".
I realize that I need to take a break.
I did know that I had been really under stressed lately.
But my bad habit is that tring to avoid from the fact, so I have worked really hard in order not to think about it.
Because of being super busy, the stress comes up in unconsious which is really bad, and it is too late to notice the ILLNESS.

I cry and I don't know why I cry.
I feel empty, and alone.
I look at my room, and I realize that I have no family in this country eventhough it is my country.
At the moment, I HATE myself.
I don't want to tell friends the feeling because I do know they have no words to say to me.

Anyway, I try reduce to cause the illness. ( I do know itvis impossible, but at least I can try)
How to get rid of stress?
Well, in my case, I take bath for a long time with listening music or either watching movies.
I know it is not for electronic device, but I don't really care:))

I found out that not many people take bath in North America.
How about you? Why don'y you try to take bath for relaxing.


Ohhhh Time to go... The class is over! I will write HAPPY things in next time:)

To Be a Good Mother (2)

One month ago my husband and I decided to make a book by hand for my daughter.

We bought a fancy notebook with cartoon characters and well design frames every two or three pages. I love it because we can easily fill in our input and children will like it. I selected some pictures of my naughty daughter showed in video MSN I caught by PrintScrn and printed them out, of course, they are in black and white. I also prepared some beautiful photos we took in Edmonton Heritage Festival and Whyte Avenue Art Walk. My husband showed his talent in drawing a rabbit with her umbrella, a balloon in the sky and YingTaoXiaoWanZi, a funny Japanese cartoon character (my daughter looks like this little girl).

Furthermore, I download some interesting items from the Internet which include
- a story about a white rabbit (rabbit is my daughter's favorite animal)
- two Chinese ancient poems (Jing Ye Si & Deng Guan Que Lou)
- three riddles for fruits,
- two blank drawings in which kids can fill in colours as they like
- one page of Chinese character for teaching, just some simple characters, such as big, small, middle, left and right

Finally, I made two paper folding for my daughter, a paper crane and a paper dog.

I think with all these content, my daughter will like this book, although she has already got a lot of printed book bought from book store or website. It's unique because we created and generated it especially for her. I wish my daughter will grow up a smart and knowledgeable with the good habit of reading.
