Do we have to have Mother's Day?

You can not appreciate your mother's efforts with you as a baby till you have your own baby. I knew this fact after I delivered my daughter. It is true that being a mom is the most beautiful feeling in the world, however, it is a very difficult job. You cannot imagine the physical, emotional, psychological, and financial challenges that is associated with the nine months of pregnancy, the pain of contractions during the labor time, and the sleeplessness after the delivery. And after all this pain, all this exhausted process, your mother will carry you on her heart, on her eyes and on her soul.
For my baby's sake I will sacrifice my time, money, enjoyment, and my youth. Nothing would make me busy to take care of her. Being away from her for any reason does not mean I am not with her. She is with me all the time. I think about her every moment in my life. I cannot eat if she is hungry, drink if she is thirsty, sleep if she is sick, or even smile if she is crying. She is part of me, the most adorable part of me.
In my country we do not have mother's day. Do not panic! For us, every day is a mother day. We do not have to have mother's day to remember our mothers. for example, eventhough my mother is thousands kilos away from me, I call her almost every day. I keep her updated to my news as I know she is excited to her from me. I do not now how can some people neglect there mothers several years or even forever!! In my opinion, it is our duty to take care of them as they get older. They need us just the same way we needed them when we were babies. What ever we do for them, it will not equalize their love, time, efforts, pain, and sacrifices they have made and are making for us every day.
It is very obvious that our mothers deserve more than one day or an annual gift to remember them. What do you think??

What a cute baby! She looks adorable. I don't have a child yet, so I can only appreciate motherhood from a child's perspective. I have to say, though, that I think my mother AND my father are amazing and inspiring people.
