Changes

It is amazing how easy can we accommodate in different situations, second language, weather we hadn't had before we came to Canada, culture which I can compare to European but in many cases different, family thousands km from you... Every day gives a lot of surprises, some are nice other not so much, and that embarrassing lack of English in situation that makes you cry, all of emigrants have similar problems. I miss my family and friends from my original country the most of all, and maybe some of food that I can't buy here. What makes me feel better? Canada has a lot of beautiful places to travel, every weekends can be different, there is no limit of great places to visit. I would like to go one day on PEI ( Prince Edward Island). Another place is West coast, and Montreal I heard it is beautiful city, old with traditions and history.

It's amazing how people adapt to different situations. I think we all have to make adjustments when we come to Canada. For my part, it was mostly adjusting to the weather! But I think you are right about taking advantage of the many beautiful places here, and focusing on the bright side.

Hi Anna. I understand your point because we both came from different cultures and have to adapt our selves to a new environment. There are many places to visit as you said, and one of them is Vancover which is the third most beautiful city in the world. I haven't been there, but living in Edmonton is a good opportunity to visit it. The thing that would surprise you is that I have been in Canada for three years and have not heard about PEI before. What is it? And is it close to Edmonton?
